Motor Vehicle Quote Outside of Hours T&Cs

1. If you contact MAS to insure your vehicle via the motor vehicle quote form at mas.co.nz and complete this form outside the hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm MAS will, if you are a MAS Member and subject to these terms and conditions: 

a) provide insurance cover for your vehicle until 5pm of the next business day; and 

b) use reasonable endeavours to contact you by 5pm of the next business day to complete the underwriting of and insurance application for your vehicle.

2. You will need to contact MAS on 0800 800 627 to ensure insurance is in place for your vehicle if you have not been contacted and completed the underwriting of and insurance application for your vehicle by 5pm of the next business day. 

3. MAS’s acceptance to insure your vehicle is subject to meeting MAS’s underwriting criteria and policy terms and conditions.  

4. Until the underwriting of and insurance application for your vehicle has been completed and accepted by MAS: 

a) only you may drive the vehicle; 

b) if you make a claim: 

i. where the risk being insured does not meet MAS’s underwriting criteria, it may not be accepted. 

ii. it may impact on the terms of your insurance policy for example any no claims bonus.

iii. you may be liable for an excess, which will be determined by MAS at acceptance of the insurance.  

iv. you will need to pay your premium before any claim can be accepted.
